The location of the hotel was fantastic, right on the beach and surrounded by plenty of activities. The staff were also very friendly and always willing to help.

One major downside was the cleanliness of the common areas. The lounge was dusty and clearly neglected, and the bathrooms were often dirty with toilet paper on the floor.

We had a double bed with no window except to a interior well and one overhead light and fan. It was awful

What a great experience! The best aspects of my stay were the fantastic view and the comfortable bed. It was such a pleasure waking up each morning to the spectacular view right outside my window. And the bed was so cozy and inviting, making it difficult to leave in the morning. Another advantage I enjoyed was the convenient location. It was perfectly situated near all the key attractions, allowing me to easily explore the surrounding area during my free time.

The only thing I disliked was the constant noise from the neighboring room. The door opening and closing throughout the day was quite loud and often startled me, making it difficult to relax.

Location of this hotel is amazing, just seconds away from Venice beach. It's also easy to find if you're driving and near other beaches along the Santa Monica coast. The hotel is also close (by car) to shopping malls like the 3rd St promenade and Westfields Culver city, not to mention LAX.

It was very noisy deep into the night, which was understandable given the average age group of those who stayed there. The whole hotel also didn't smell too good) although the rooms were clean and had ceiling fans and windows to help with ventilation. There were also insufficient toilets, with only 2 on each floor, shared by almost 10 rooms (some with 1 occupancy). Pity though, since everything else was ok.

Ok as a hostel. Bath always available and very, very clean. Tv did not function, but that was not the main focus being so near to the beach.

The location was convenient and the view from the lounge room was good. The private room had a sink and was nicely decorated. The staff, especially Gina, were super friendly and helpful. They left us a bottle of Prosecco in the room for our honeymoon and reserved us a room with an ocean view. We enjoyed the free pub crawl organized by the property. The selection of bars was nice and we had the opportunity to meet new people.

Felt very secure, no complaints at all.

Room with no window. Charged 7 dollars for limited WiFi. Poor value for money when spending 100 dollars a night.

Located next to the beach, near a noisy boardwalk. Cosy, clean hostel with necessary facilities, locker, hair dryer. Breakfast included, but not diverse. Helpful staff.

We had a fantastic stay at a hostel right by the beach. The location was unbeatable, just a short walk from the sand. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the rooms and bathrooms were clean. We also enjoyed the nice breakfast provided. we highly recommend Samesun Venice Beach for a great beachside stay.

I liked the location and the security - need to be buzzed in by staff. I was able to find free parking nearby and there were plenty of amenities (restaurants, stores, etc) close by. The hotel is right by the beach and the boardwalk - what more could you want?

The only downside was that I could not bring visitors back to my room. I understand the reasons for this (security of other guests), but it would have been nice to bring a guest back to my room for a visit. Other than that, the place was great!

Personnel was very friendly and helpful.

Some small breakfast (cereals) could have been provided, even if you had to pay for it, I didn't have time to go to the supermarket.

The staff was great-- super friendly and fun! I loved the setup with the kitchen available for use and also the lounge area. Great place if you want to meet people from all over and have lots of fun!
